Threads in accordance with BS2779:1986 (BS EN ISO 228-1:2003)
BSPP Threads are a "Non-Pressure type Joint" where the seal is made mechanically using a washer or bonded seal (Dowty washer). The seal is made against the underside of the Hexagon Head. Jointing compound should NOT be used on the thread itself.
Plugs are generally not manufactured with specific pressure ratings as they are "pressure retaining" and not "pressure containing". Please enquire if you require clarification on a specific duty.
